BOB SATTERFIELD IN LOSS

HAROLD JOHNSON POUNDS OUT UNANIMOUS DECISION

(Article by the Associated Press)

Miami Beach, Fla., March 12. (AP) - Harold Johnson, 180, Philadelphia, scored a unanimous decision over Bob Satterfield, 181, Chicago, in a vicious 10-round fight at the auditorium tonight.

The fight was full of suspense from the start. Johnson floored Satterfield for the nine count with a terrific right in the fourth round, but Bob had the Philadelphian in trouble in the ninth and tenth.

Both threw smashing punches that kept the crowd of 2,982 roaring throughout the fight.

It was Johnson's second fight in two years and he said he plans to stay in the heavyweight division. He formerly fought as a light-heavy. Satterfield said he thought he won the fight and wants a rematch.

This is an Associated Press article that ran March 13, 1957, the day after the fight.
