BRISCOE PACKS THEM IN AGAIN
BIG TURNOUT AT LEGEND'S FUNERAL

Not unlike the days of his boxing career, Bennie Briscoe drew a very large crowd on Monday (01/10/11) when Philadelphia came out to say goodbye to the ring legend at the Deliverance Evangelistic Church, located at the site of the old Shibe Park. The massive modern church accommodated the many mourners who came to pay their respects for the beloved ring superstar. In addition to the extended Briscoe family, numerous boxing notables also attended the services. In a moving tribute, Briscoe was remembered by his co-workers, family and friends not only an excellent boxer, but as a giving, hard-working, family man. He was loved greatly and will be missed.
