HEAVYWEIGHT KING
JOE FRAZIER DEAD AT 67

Smokin' Joe Frazier, Olympic Gold Medalist, World Heavyweight Champion, winner of the "Fight of the Century", one half of the greatest rivalry in ring history, Boxing Hall of Famer, and one of Philadelphia's most beloved sons, died tonight after a brief bout with advanced-stage liver cancer. He was 67. For all his accomplishments, Frazier will always be best-remembered for his epic 3-bout series with Ali, but to everyone in Philly he was our heavyweight champion and always will be. RIP Smokin' Joe.  (More to follow.)
