GARCIA DELIVERS WITH
KO AGAINST KHAN

Danny Garcia scored a spectacular TKO of Amir Khan Saturday night in Las Vegas to defend his WBC junior welterweight title. The victory also earned him the WBA & Ring Magazine titles. Garcia endured Khan's typically fast start in the first three rounds when Khan used speed and accuracy to consistently land to the face of the Philadelphia fighter. Garcia was cut and out worked, but he managed to close the gap between the two and was not deterred. As time ran out in the third, Garcia nailed Khan with a hard left hook that deposited the British boxer on the canvas. Garcia didn't have time to finish the job in round three, but Khan never fully recovered from the punch that dropped him. Garcia went back to work in the fourth and scored two more knockdowns before referee Kenny Bayless halted the contest, and ushered in the Danny Garcia era. It was a terrific win, well deserved.
