KENNEDY SUFFERED
BROKEN JAW IN FIGHT

Story by John DiSanto

Teon Kennedy suffered a broken jaw in his 10-rounder with Joselito Collado on Saturday night in Atlantic City. After the fight Kennedy said he believed the injury came in round two when Collado's head collided with his jaw. The incident fractured Kennedy's jaw in two places. Teon had surgery on Monday afternoon, and the word is that he will be wired shut for 4-6 weeks, and out of ring action - no boxing, no sparring - for at least three months.

Kennedy posted this photo on his Facebook page on Tuesday and seemed to be in good spirits. Hopefully he loves soup because that's about all he'll be having for a while. We wish Teon a speedy recovery, and hope he feels okay soon.
