PIZARRO RETURNS
WITH DECISION WIN

Philadelphia junior welterweight Branden Pizarro returned to the ring after one-year layoff Saturday night at the 2300 Arena in South Philly. Pizarro scored an eight-round unanimous decision over Paulo Galdino in the main event of the six-bout card promoted by Manny Rivera's Hard Hitting Promotions. The victory improved Branden's record to 18-1-1, 10 KOs. Galdino lost his second straight and returned to Sao Paulo, Brazil 12-7, 8 KOs.


RIVERA TKOs OKINE
In the co-feature bout, Jan Carlos Rivera stopped Patrick Okine at 2:55 of round three. The junior welterweight fight was scheduled for six rounds. The referee was Shawn Clark. Rivera's record now stands at 8-1, 6 KOs. Okine, of Accra, Ghana, left 20-5-2, 17 KOs.


CRUZ BEATS TORRES
Allentown junior bantamweight LeAnna Cruz won her fourth straight fight with a six-round unanimous decision over Devany Cuevas Torres, 2-3-1, of San Antonio, TX.


JONES DECISIONS SANTANA
Oshae Jones, Toledo, OH, won her six-round welterweight bout with veteran New Yorker Dahianna Santana by unanimous decision. Jones lifted her record to 2-0 while Santana slipped to 40-15, 16 KOs.


VILLANUEVA STOPS CASTILLO-MAYSONET
In a four-round bantamweight contest, Jeffery Villanueva beat a debuting Christopher Castillo-Maysonet (0-1) by unanimous decision. Villanueva improved to 3-0, 1 KO.


HEAD BUTT RESULTS IN NO CONTEST
In the opening fight of the night, Gustavo Morales and Kelvin Diaz accidentally clashed heads in the second round and Diaz came away with a bad cut over his left eye. Referee Harvey Dock stopped the fight and the bout was ruled a No Contest. Diaz left with a record of 1-1, 1 KO and 1 NC. This was Morales' professional debut.
