RDR Promotions staged their first 2024 show at Harrah's Philadelphia in Chester, PA. The eight-bout card featured a slate of locals in four, six and eight-round bouts, as well as a couple of out-of-towners plunked on the card. There were six knockouts (four of them in the first round) and two decisions. Welterweight Isaiah Johnson closed the show with a fifth-round TKO of New Yorker Dashaun Johns in thier scheduled six-rounder. The win pushed Johnson's undefeated record to 9-0, 7 KOs. Young Devin Price suffered his first professional loss (3-1, 2 KOs) in a four-round junior welterweight fight with Sebastian Chaves (6-7, 2 KOs) of Argentina. Chaves knocked down Price once and won by unanimous decision (40-35, 40-35, 39-36). Devon Lee (Las Vegas) remained undefeated (9-0, 7 KOs) with an eight-round unanimous decision over Minnesota trialhorse Rondale Hubbert (16-28-3, 10 KOs). The scores were 80-72, 78-74 & 77-75. Southpaw Philly super middleweight Erron Peterson scored a first-round TKO of Colorado's Christopher Arguello. The time was 1:25 of the opening round. The referee was Shawn Clark. Brooklyn's Pryce Taylor knocked out Massachusetts-based Brazilian Gabriel Costa just 56 seconds into their heavyweight four-rounder. Edwin Cortes (Millville, NJ) won his fifth straight fight and scored his first professional stoppage (5-0, 1 KO) against Josh Aarons of Williamsport, PA (0-4). Shawn Clarke was the referee of the bantamweight bout. Wisconsin middleweight Tyler Nystrom (1-1, 1 KO) beat Keith Jackson Jr. of Gloucester, NJ with a first-round TKO in a scheduled four-round fight. It was Jackson's pro debut. Referee Charlie Fitch stopped the bout at 2:09 of round one. Jersey-based Haitian Ghandi Romain won his fourth straight fight (4-1, 4 KOs) with a knockout of Callan Harley at 2:14 of the first round.
