Marshall Kauffman's Kings Promotions returned to Live! Casino in South Philly for an eight-bout card headlined by popular puncher Christian Carto. The 27-year old local star took on Miami-based Colombian southpaw Jesus Martinez in the scheduled eight-round main event. Carto won the first two rounds before turning up the heat in round three. His output in the third was too much for the 43-year old journeyman, and after just over one minute in the bout, Carto scored his fifteenth knockout. Referee Eric Dali stopped the fight at 1:06 of round three. Carto won his fifth straight and improved to 22-1, 15 KOs. Martinez added another loss and dropped to 35-21-1, 16 KOs.

Rising Philly light heavyweioght Atif Oberlton blasted out Mexican Juan Barajas after nearly one round of one-sided action. The undefeated Oberlton ended the fight with a body shot that dropped Barajas that convinced him to stay down for referee Eric Irizarry's full 10-count. The time was 2:59 of round one. Oberlton scored less than one round of action. Oberton  1:06 had in the round won his fifth won his tenth fight (10-0, 8 KOs) and Barajas (8-2, 4 KOs, 1 NC) lost for the second time by first-round knockout.

Canadian banatamweight Bree Howling scored an eight-round unanimous decision over Nancy Franco of Mexico. Howling won every round of the fight on all three official scorecards. Robert Rubnitz, Paul Wallace and Marc Werlinsky all had Howling the winner by 80-72 scores. Howling (8-0, 2 KOs) remained undefeated while Franco (19-20-2, 5 KOs) fell below the .500 mark.

In a lightweight bout, Stephanie Han, El Paso, TX, stretched her undefeated record to 8-0, 2 KOs, with a unanimous decision over Michaele Nogue, of Egg Harbor, NJ, in their six-rounder. Nogue slid to 2-5-1. Judges Rubnitz, Wallace and Werlinsky agreed on the result with 60-54 scores.

Baltimore's Muhammad Robinson bounced backed from his first professional defeat - last September in the same Live! Casino ring - with a fifth-round TKO over David Thomas of Orange, TX. Referee Eric Irizarry halted the bout 40 seconds into round five of the scheduled six-round welterweight contest. The time was 0:40 of round five. Robinson left 7-1, 3 KOs; Thomas lost for the fifth straight time and went home 6-7-1, 2 KOs.

Ibrahim Robinson of Baltimore won by unanimous decision over Demarcus Layton, Little Rock, AR, in a welterweight match. Judges Paul Wallace and Marc Werlinsky scored the fight 58-56 while Robert Rubnitz had it 59-55. Robinson improved to 7-1-1, 5 KOs. Layton fell to 9-7-1, 6 KOs.

In the opening bout of the night, DC welterweight David Whitmire won by first-round knockout over Texan Breydon Glaude. The scheduled four-rounder ended after just 1:32. The referee was Eric Dali.
