Pete Byron

RING ANNOUNCER

Classic ring crier worked the Philly boxing scene in the 1940's, 50's & 60's. His nasal proclamations  pierced the cigar smoke of the Philadelphia Arena and the chilly night air of Shibe Park during some of the city's biggest fistic events. Byron also worked as the public address announcer for the Phillies.

Born: 1904 -  Died: 12/31/64
