On Sunday, May 19th,
thirteen new members were inducted into the Pennsylvania Boxing
Hall of Fame at Romano's Catering in Philadelphia. The Class
of 2019 included seven boxers, one cut man, one judge, a
promotional team, a manager, and one trainer.
Nino Del Buono was the
Master of Ceremonies and the inductions were introduced by
Rich Pagano, John Gallagher, Joey Eye, and John DiSanto.
Amateur boxer Shadraq Louis, of the Harold Johnson Boxing
Gym received a scholarship, and Frank Kubach, the proprietor
of the Front Street Gym, was named the VBA Man of the Year.
This was the 61st class
of inductees for the oldest boxing hall of fame in the
United States. Jano Cohen served as photographer for the
event.

inducted into the PABHOF

Tiffany McGhee, the daughter of deceased light heavyweight
boxer Will Taylor,
accepted for her father

Members of the Rooney and McGinley families (including Jack
McGinley Jr.) accepted for the promotional team of Art
Rooney and Barney McGinley
(both deceased)

Heavyweight boxer Kerry Judge

Joey Eye also accepted for manager Ivan Cohen, who could not
attend

John DiSanto accepted for boxer Tony Thornton (deceased)
