FLOURTOWN, PA. – Sammy Levitt knew of a boxer in Philadelphia named Augie Pantellas in the 70s. He was a top fighter in his division in the east. He was involved with drugs and had to quit. He disappeared for six years, found Jesus and made a gallant comeback in his 30s. Levitt also had a stroke and became a writer after he retired. He wanted to talk about his experiences as well as about Pantellas. It is for these reasons he has written “The Will of the Creator” (published by Xlibris). This is the story of Augie, a retired ex-boxer who is recovering from a stroke. He is a freelance sportswriter and is really into baseball who listens to a lot of talk radio. He learns from his best friend, a Philadelphia cop about a mysterious string of connected murders. He listens on various talk radio shows and one particular, a regular caller named Charley who inadvertently says things that tie him to the killings. And by the condition of the bodies, which rise to the number of 10 over three years, Augie determines that Charley is the killer. This book also tells the story of local and international R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass, who has a car accident and is paralyzed. His story post-accident fits into this theme of faith, rehabilitation, and hope. “This is an original murder mystery story. Much of this is personal and I did some research on Augie and a few of the other main characters too as well as Augie's neighborhood which was also my neighborhood,” Levitt says. When asked what he wants readers to take away from this book, he answers, “Like I said before, ideally this is inspirational on some level.” “The Will of the
