
Reading's Joshafat Ortiz scored a unanimous six-round decision in
the main event at The Fillmore in the latest offering from Hard
Hitting Promotions on Friday night. The undefeated junior
lightweight won every round against Argentine Mario (Ezequiel Sayal)
Lozano according to the three official scorecards. The perfect 60-54
(x3) victory improved Ortiz' record to 11-0, with 5 KOs. Lozano fell
to 18-9-1, 9 KOs. The referee was Shawn Clark.


RIVERA STOPS DALLERA
In the semi-windup bout, Philly-based Puerto Rican Jan Carlos Rivera
stopped Gonzalo Carlos Dallera of Argentina in round two of their
scheduled six-round welterweight fight. Referee Eric Dali halted the
bout at 2:58 of the second round. The win lifted southpaw Rivera's
record to 7-1 with 50 KOs and 1 No Contest. Dallera, 10-18, 8 KOs,
lost for the third straight time by knockout.

CRUZ BEATS ALMARAZ
Allentown junior bantamweight LeAnna Cruz improved to 3-0 with a
four-round unanimous decision over Lilian Almaraz of Lawrenceville,
GA. The Guatemala native was making her pro debut. All three judges
scored the bout 39-37 for Cruz. The referee was Shawn Clark.

RAMOS TOPS OLGUIN
Carlos Ramos of Spain won a six-round unanimous decision over
Mexican Diuhl Olguin in a junior lightweight contest. All three
judges saw the fight 59-54 for Ramos. He improved to 16-2, 10 KOs,
while Olguin slid to 15-26-5, 10 KOs. It was Olguin's seventh
straight loss. The referee was Eric Dali.

VILLANUEVA KAYOS TORRES
Allentown bantamweight Jeffery Villanueva scored a quick knockout
over debuting Philadelphian Jose Torres in a scheduled four-rounder.
Villanueva dropped Torres and referee Shawn Clark stopped the fight
at the 2:44 mark of the first round. Villanueva extended his winning
streak to 2-0, 1 KO. Torres went home 0-1.

LEONARDO SHUTS OUT HERNANDEZ
Featherweight John Leonardo, Englishtown, NJ, beat Colorado-based
Puerto Rican southpaw Pedro Hernandez by unanimous six-round
decision. All three scores were 60-54 in favor of Leonardo. The
referee was Eric Dali. Leonardo improved to 8-1-1, 4 KOs. Hernandez,
7-13-1, 2 KOs & 1 No Contest, lost his sixth straight bout.

SALGADO WINS BY TKO
In the opening fight of the night, Puerto Rican welterweight Axl
Salgado stopped Michigan-based Puerto Rican Abdiel Padilla-Borges in
round two of a scheduled four round bout. Referee Shawn Clark
stopped the fight at 2:10 of the second. Salgado raised his record
to 4-0, 3 KOs. Borges lost his fourth straight and left 1-4, 1 KO.
This was the second time this year that Hard Hitting Promotions
presented a show at the beautiful music venue, and their third
promotion in 2022.
